Western Cape MEC Robin Carlisle to officially open Department of Transport and Public Works Walk-In Centre

Transport and Public Works MEC Robin Carlisle will be opening the Walk-In Centre at the Provincial Department of Transport and Public Works offices. The Centre and its function illustrates government’s continued commitment to providing key services to the public, as well as streamlining the processes in which members of the public can access the various opportunities offered by the Western Cape government.

The Walk-In Centre will be the central point for the administration of tender applications, as well as other Traffic Law Administration functions. Clients will now have a designated area in the building where all their information and application needs (when it comes to tenders) can be effectively and efficiently catered for.

MEC Carlisle will be revealing the amount and value of contracts awarded in the past financial year (2011/2012), as well as portions awarded to HDIs (Historically Disadvantaged Individuals).

All media are invited and welcome to attend. There will be opportunity for interviews and photographs.
