Western Cape MEC of Finance, Economic Development Tourism, Alan Winde takes Red Tape Reduction plan to the public

Alan Winde, MEC of Finance, Economic Development Tourism, will embark on a week-long Red Tape Reduction public awareness campaign which will be launched by a site visit to the Red Tape Call Centre on Monday, 22 July 2013.

During Monday’s site visit MEC Winde will reveal the latest call centre statistics following the recent radio and newsletter Red Tape Reduction awareness campaign.

The month-long campaign targeted several regional and community radio stations and ended last week. MEC Winde will also meet with small business owners who have been assisted by the Red Tape Reduction Unit.

On Tuesday, 23 July MEC Winde will visit the Western Cape Government Walk-In Centre in Dorp Street for an update on how the facility has streamlined several processes for small businesspeople since it was launched six months ago.

That same day MEC Winde will meet with a small business owner who secured a multi-million rand contract after red tape hassles were resolved. On Thursday (25 July) MEC Winde will raise awareness about the Red Tape programme during a walkabout at the Food Market in St.Georges Mall.
