Dan Plato, Western Cape MEC of Community Safety, together with local councilors will conduct a walkabout in the Mitchell’s Plain Town Centre, engaging with traders to address their safety concerns.
MEC Plato has received various complaints from local traders that the Mitchell’s Plain Town Centre is falling victim to increased crime, drug and gangsterism activities. The walkabout, in cooperation with local leaders, seeks to gather testimonies from traders regarding their safety concerns, and discuss possible safety solutions.
The Western Cape Government’s commitment to creating safer communities where people live, work, shop and travel within the province, can only be achieved through effective partnerships.
