Western Cape Government launches Pedestrian Safety Programme at Ysterplaat Primary School

This morning, Minister Grant, together with Department of Transport and Public Works and Department of Community Safety, will be participating in a road safety awareness campaign outside the school.

The Minister will be handing over reflector vests, sponsored by the DTPW’s “Safely Home”, to the principal for learners that walk to school. Learners will be attending an information session on road safety, and, road Safety educational materials, such as colouring books, will also be supplied to the school.

All media are welcome to attend. There will be an opportunity for interviews and photographs.
