Western Cape Government, City of Cape Town and their safety partners host joint press conference on safety interventions on the N2
Tomorrow, Thursday 17 September 2015, the Western Cape Government, City of Cape Town, South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) and their safety partners will brief the media on joint safety interventions along the N2 between Cape Town and Somerset West.
The recent increase in criminal incidents along the N2 have seen a combined effort by Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, Dan Plato, Western Cape Minister of Transport and Public Works, Donald Grant, City of Cape Town Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, together with SANRAL and law enforcement agencies operating in the province to address the safety concerns of motorists, pedestrians and communities regarding this stretch of road.
There will be opportunities for photographs and interviews.
