Western Cape government announces youth plans during June/July school holidays

Tomorrow, 26 June 2014, MEC of Social Development, Albert Fritz, MEC of Community Safety, Dan Plato, MEC of Education, Debbie Schafer, as well as MEC of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Nomafrench Mbombo, will announce the Western Cape government’s plans to provide positive and safe alternatives for our youth during the June/July school holidays which commence Friday, 27 June 2014.

The Western Cape Government is committed to providing opportunities for the youth of our province throughout the year, not only during Youth month. The announcement of the transversal youth interventions aims to positively engage, entertain and safeguard our youth during school holidays when they are at greater risk for exposure to substance abuse, drugs, violence and gangsterism.
