Water and Sanitation hosts Theewaterskloof Dam media tour, 22 Feb

Members of the media are invited to a Media Tour to be held at Theewaterskloof Dam on Thursday, 22 February 2018.

The Theewaterskloof Dam is the biggest dam in the Western Cape and forms part of the Western Cape Water Supply System. The level at the Theewaterskloof Dam is currently at 11, 05 %, a notable decline compared to 28, 09% same time last year.

The media tour is aimed at showcasing the drilling of boreholes and emergency work underway at the Theewaterskloof dam basin.

As a way of mitigating drought, The Department of Water and Sanitation has marshaled its engineers across the country in its coordinated efforts to ensure that the short-term drilling interventions currently underway is done effectively.
