DWS to award bursaries and prize money to the country’s young and innovative minds
The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) will award study bursaries and prize money to schools and learners from across the country as part of the Water and Sanitation Education Programme (WSEP) on Friday, 07 October 2022.
This comes as the Department is hosting a school’s competition which is aimed at getting high school learners to come up with innovative ways to propel the water and sanitation sector. This is one of the Department’s flagship programmes to equip young people with opportunities to bridge the skills gap in the water and sanitation sector.
Close to 500 schools throughout the country are presently showcasing innovative ways to save water and develop sanitation infrastructure in a weeklong Water and Sanitation Education Programme held at the Birchwood Hotel.
