DDG Momoniat to address the M&G Webber Wentzel Carbon Tax breakfast forum
Media are invited to attend an M&G Webber Wentzel Carbon tax breakfast forum on 9 July 2019. After more than eight years in the making, the carbon tax came to effect on the 1 June 2019. National Treasury's Deputy Director-General (DDG) Ismail Momoniat will give an opening address. The theme of the forum is the role of Carbon Tax as part of a broader set of instruments for South Africa to reduce Green House Gas emissions as committed to in the Paris Agreement on climate change. Around 100-120 delegates are expected to attend.
