The Minister of Transport, Honourable Dipuo Peters, accompanied by Transport Deputy Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga and His Excellency the Executive Mayor of Tshwane Cllr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa will, on Tuesday 22nd October 2013 officially open three completed roads in Soshanguve and Mabopane as part of the October Transport Month campaign.
In attendance during the official opening of the three completed roads will also be Councillors, Ward Committees, the leadership in the Region, public transport representatives from various organisations, community members and the media.
The official opening, under the theme “Celebrating 20 Years of delivering efficient, reliable and safe transport services” is in line with the City’s commitment to improve the lives of Tshwane communities through infrastructure development.
In total, the roll out and completion of the roads amounted to R17.3m, R19.2m and R25.6m (see more details below) respectively in the quest by the City of Tshwane to improve the lives of communities in Soshanguve and Mabopane.
