Telecommunications and Postal Services hosts BRICS Meeting of Communications and ICT Ministers, 14 to 15 Sept

The Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services, Dr Siyabonga Cwele invites members of the media to participate in the BRICS Communications and ICT Ministerial meeting.

Following the successful hosting of the 10th BRICS Summit in Gauteng and now the 2018 International Telecommunications Union (ITU) World meeting in Durban, South Africa is hosting the BRICS Meeting of Communications and ICT Ministers taking place from 14 – 15 September at the iNkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban.

The ICT Ministers from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa will converge for the two day meeting taking place under the theme “Advancing Inclusive Growth through Industry and SMME Participation”. The meeting is aimed at taking forward policy approaches to emerging technologies, progress in business linkages and strengthening cooperation on the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the five countries.

Members of the media are invited as follows:
1. Accreditation for the BRICS Meeting

Members of the media are invited to accredit for the upcoming BRICS meeting by completing the attached form and send to mmemme@gcis.gov.za

NB:  No media will have access to the meeting without a media badge.

Live accreditation for registered media is taking place at the Durban Exhibition Centre Admin Block from 13 to 15 September from 08h30 to 18h00.
