The Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature shall hold the annual taking legislature to the people in Alfred Nzo District Municipality.
The programme forms an integral part of the legislature’s public participation and education initiatives to strengthen participatory democracy in the province.
It is aimed at making the legislature more visible and reachable to the communities and to ensure that voices of the people are incorporated in the legislature oversight work.
Members of the media are encouraged to attend the "Taking Legislature to the People" which is scheduled to take place as follows:
