Tackling crime together with Mamelodi residents

The Gauteng Department of Community Safety together with Mamelodi East South African Police Service (SAPS), will tomorrow, 15 November 2012, conduct a Crime Awareness Road Show in Mamelodi East, Tshwane.

The purpose of the road show is to create awareness and educate the community on issues of safety. The focus will be on common robberies, assault GBH, domestic violence due to substance abuse, house robbery, theft out of vehicle , illegal shebeens in the area.

The event will commence at the following identified hotspots, were SAPS members and relevant stakeholders will interact with respective communities on safety issues;

  • Phomolong between 10h00 - 10h30
  • Mahube  between 10h30 - 11h00
  • Extension 18, Pienarspoort between 11h00 - 11h30  
  • Alska and Stosel  Park  between 11h30 - 12h30
