Sport, Arts and Culture joins Springbok victory Tours, 2 to 5 Nov

As we continue to celebrate the resilient and victorious South African National Rugby team, the Ministry of Sport, Arts and Culture will join the Springbok’s Victory Tour across major regional population centres in the country. Led by the South African Rugby Union (SARU), the defending and reigning rugby world cup champions - Springbok rugby team will embark on a four-day Trophy Tour between Thursday, 02 and Sunday, 05 November 2023.

The Springbok squad is due to arrive back in the country on Tuesday, 31 October 2023 from their heroic display at the 2023 Rugby World Cup held in France. The triumphant Springboks have not only successfully defended their 2019 World Cup title against the All Blacks, the New Zealand national squad but also claimed the Webb Ellis Trophy for a record 4th time, a historic feat unparallel to any nation on World Rugby Stage.

Throughout the world cup knockout stages, the Springboks have displayed a resilience, tenacity, and gallant fighting spirit, defeating the host nation, France; and England on the road to the 2023 World Cup final.

The rugby world cup champions, team will embark on a victory tour that will start in Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Soweto – concluding at FNB Stadium – on Thursday, 02 November. On Friday, 03 November, the Springboks will proceed to Cape Town, and then Durban on Saturday, 04 November before captain Siya Kolisi and the squad touch-down in East London on Sunday, 05 November for the first phase of the tour. The second phase of the victory tour scheduled for 2024 to other provinces will also be communicated.
