On Thursday, 25 July 2013, the North West Provincial Legislature’s Standing Committee on Provincial Public Accounts (SCOPA) will hold a meeting with the Mayor, Municipal Public Accounts Committee chairperson and management of Tlokwe Local Municipality at Tlokwe Municipal Chambers at 09h00.
The Public Accounts Committee will be briefed about the forensic report and the general spending of the municipality.
At 11h00, the Committee will hold a special meeting with the Head of the Department for Social Development, Women, Children and People with Disability, Adv. Matshidiso Mogale and Acting Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Tshepo Mokgatle to respond on resolutions taken at the Committee meeting of 11 June 2013.
The Committee resolved to verify as to what extend the Ministerial Handbook include the former MEC Mokomele-Mothibi on the Bloemfontein trip to the ANC conference.
The department is also expected to respond on the following;
- The issue of the R7 Million from the Department to BOSASA.
- Salary adjustment of the Head of Department to the highest notch in the province, hardly a day after she was appointed
- The TEB properties lease contract with the Department
- Documents regarding procurement processes of the new furniture to the new offices, how much was spent and the names of officials that were involved in the procurement process.
