SCOPA to meet Local Government over Bapong Ba Ga Mogale Oversight on Thursday, 20 June 2013.
The North West Provincial Legislature’s Standing Committee on Provincial Public Accounts (SCOPA) will hold a meeting with the Department of Local Government and Traditional Affairs to discuss the way forward over the Bapong ba ga Mogale community issue at the Legislature Committee Room 2 at 14h00. The meeting will be discussing a way forward on the D-Account issue.
The D-Account is an account where all mining companies deposit royalties for traditional authorities. According the Auditor General’s office, the D- account has never been audited for the past 19 years.
The Committee will also adopt the Signal Developments (PTY) Ltd and public entities resolutions.
