On Tuesday, 25 June 2013, the North West Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Public Works, Roads and Transport together with the Standing Committee on Public Accounts will hold a joint meeting with the Department of Public Works, Road and Transport at the Legislature Chamber at 9h00.
The purpose of the meeting will be for the department to give the Committees a detailed report on the Lichtenburg/Koster road construction since its inception to date and list of all service providers involved.
The department is also requested to submit breakdown on the legal fees spent on litigation (pending and current cases); list of all senior managers that were suspended and the status of the disciplinary process as per individual case; and progress report on all resolutions of the Portfolio Committee (as per committee report) presented during the budget speech 2013. All members of the public are invited to attend the meetings.
