SCOPA and Public Works Committee Calls Department to Account on Lichtenburg/Koster Roads The North West Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Public Works, Roads and Transport together with the Standing Committee on Provincial Public Accounts (SCOPA) will hold a joint meeting with the Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport at the Legislature Committee Room 2 on Thursday 10 October 2013 at 9h00.
The purpose of the meeting is for the department to give a detailed report to the Committees on the following issues:
- The expenses and expenditure incurred on the Lichtenburg/Koster, Mmamutle/Kgomotso and Tlakgameng/Tosca roads since its inception;
- All legal costs paid to date on the Lichtenburg/Koster, Mmamutle/Kgomotso and Tlakgameng/Tosca roads;
- A detailed report of the procurement process of acquiring the building behind the Crossing by the Department of Public Works, Roads & Transport on behalf of the Department of Health (financial implications).
- A detailed report on the process that was followed with regards to the selling of North West Transport Investment (NTI), the reasons for selling NTI, and for what amount?
