Science and Technology launches report on South Africa's state of innovation, 15 May

Dr Azar Jammine, a member of the National Advisory Council of Innovation (NACI), will present the 2014 South African Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Indicators booklet in Pretoria on 15 May.

This annual publication outlines the performance of South Africa's innovation and its impact on the economy. The 2014 report covers mainly data for the period 2004 to 2014, which allows for a proper trend analysis over a period of time.

The launch will take place during a stakeholder consultation workshop, which will also discuss the draft National Innovation Portal Framework, intended as a credible central repository for innovation-related data.

The media is invited to take part in the launch at 09:00 at Sheraton Hotel in Pretoria, during which Dr Jammine will share information and engage representatives from academia, business and NGOs in this regard.
