Thousands of young choristers from across the country will converge at the Durban ICC for the National Finals of the 2014 South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod (SASCE). The national finals will be held from 15 to 17 July 2014 at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (Durban ICC).
The South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod (SASCE) is a flagship program of the Department of Basic Education which provides an opportunity for learners to participate in an activity that encourages team work and builds discipline, providing a valuable opportunity to enhance their overall development.
Known as a platform for honing Musical skill and knowledge, now in its 14th year SASCE has long been the hot bed for unearthing some of the country’s most talented young choristers. The finals will see the cream rise to the top as the provincial finalists put their skills against each other in the Senior, Intermediate as well as FET Band categories for which national honours are at stake.
Members of the media are requested to RSVP ahead of time to ensure accreditation is made available for collection upon arrival. No member of the media will be granted access to the venue without accreditation owing to strict security measures at the ICC.
