SAPS awareness campaign on Sexual, Child and Substance abuse

Pretoria - The South African Police Service’s (SAPS) Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Investigations unit will host an awareness campaign on abuse of the vulnerable community members and substances in Soweto.

This initiative is one of the SAPS’s efforts to educate community members on various forms of abuse and to strengthen the relationship between the SAPS, churches, and the community at large, in order to address societal problems.

The campaign - which is held in recognition and support of the upcoming annual international campaign- 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children- aims to educate the community on how to lawfully deal with cases of, among others, child abuse, sexual offences, domestic violence and drug abuse.
