Rural Development and Land Reform hosts truck procession viewing on 1913 Natives' Land Act, 24 Jan

Special viewing of the truck procession of the exhibition of 1913 Natives' Land Act

The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform invites members of the media to a photo opportunity; where 12 trucks carrying the ‘20 Years of Freedom: Creating a New Legacy’ exhibition material  will travel through Pretoria in a procession on Friday, 24 January 2014.

The procession forms part of the department’s initiative to observe 20-years of Land Restitution in South Africa. An exhibition to mark 100 years since the promulgation of the 1913 Natives’ Land Act by the apartheid government will also be held.

The fleet of twelve (12) trucks will pass in the main streets of the city of Tshwane thereby creating a special photo opportunity for photo-journalists.

The trucks will depart the Tshwane Events Centre and travel to Sophie de Bruyn Street, turn right into Jeff Masemola and then left into Paul Kruger, from there it proceeds through central Pretoria to Government Avenue, slowly drives past the Union Buildings and back to Tshwane Events Centre.
