Radical economic transformation fuelled in the Free State

Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise (SMME) development in the Free State will receive a major boost when the Free State Provincial Government host a three day SMMEs and Cooperatives Indaba in Bloemfontein next week.

This highly informative and interactive engagement under the able leadership of Free State Premier Ace Magashule will focus on small business, informal trade and cooperatives. The Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs and Small Business Development, the lead department in this exercise, has already invited more than 600 delegates to attend the Indaba as the event is by invitation only.

This important economic activity is the beginning of the implementation of the radical economic transformation promised by President Jacob Zuma during the State of the Nation address when he said, “Over the next five years, we will prioritize support to small business as well as township and informal sector business in particular, thus using the SMME development to boost broader-base black economic empowerment.”
