Public Service Commission briefs Limpopo Legislature on performance of departments, 2 Dec

Public Service Commission will brief Members of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature on the performance of the Limpopo Government Departments

The Public Service Commission (PSC) will from 1to 2 December 2015 brief members of the Portfolio Committee on Public Administration in Limpopo Provincial Legislature on the performance of Limpopo Government Departments.

The briefing will focus on the following activities performed by government departments in Limpopo Province:

• Compliance with the Financial Disclosure Framework for the 2012/2013 Financial Year;
• Actions taken by the Executive Authorities with regard to Identified cases of Potential Conflict of Interests and Compliance with the Financial Disclosure Framework;
• Grievance Resolution 2012/13;
• Blockages in the Filling of Posts in the Public Services;
• Compliance with Government’s 30 Day Payment Period to Service Providers;
• Implementation of the Human Resource and Financial Management Delegation Framework;
• Implementation of Policy Framework on the Appointment of Ministerial Staff in National and Provincial Departments;
• Roundtable Discussions on the State of Human Resource, Grievance and Discipline Management in the Public Service;
• Assessment of existing Hotlines in the Public Service;
• Guide on Governance Practice for Executive Authorities and Heads of Department; and PSC 2013/14 Annual Report.

The media briefing will be addressed by Commissioner George Mashamba of the PSC.
