Public Service and Administration launches Public Service Month, 4 Sept

The Director-General of the Department of Public Service and Administration Mr Mashwahle Diphofa, will launch Public Service Month (PSM) on Friday, 4 September 2015 in Gauteng.

Public Service Month which is celebrated annually during the month of September highlights government services, celebrating the commitment, dedication and, excellence of public servants who go the extra mile in the delivery of public services.

The 2015 Public Service Month will be hosted under the theme, “Moving South Africa Forward: Taking the public service to the people”. The month will be filled with activities that include, a public service indaba which will focus on taking public services to the people, service delivery exhibitions and the deployment of senior managers to frontline Thusong Centres. The department will also embark on unannounced and outreach visits to service delivery points, ultimately enhancing public service morale and passion through a sports and fun day.

Public Service Month is an integral part of the Batho Pele Revitalisation strategy which seeks to instill and rebuild good ethics, morale and pride in public servants.
