Public Protector Thuli Madonsela features on Interface as part of the Good Governance week, 18 Oct

National Good Governance Week 2015 under the theme: 20 years of protecting public: success, challenges and the road ahead, will kickstart with a discussion with Public Protector Adv, Thuli Madonsela this Sunday evening, 18 October 2015, on Interface on SABC 2 at 20h30

The Public Protector’s interview will focus on the office’s success and challenges in the last 20 years, and what lies ahead. It will also include interviews with two previous Public Protectors

The campaign aims to promote good governance and integrity in all state affairs and put the issue on the national debate. It also aims to raise awareness and encourage dialogue on governance among the Executive, Legislatures, government officials and civil society.

On Monday, Public Protector will launch its corporate social responsibility initiative (CSI) at Aurora Girls High School in Soweto. Public Protector Adv. Thuli Madonsela earlier this year pledged a donation of R30 000 to the school towards for the building of the school hall.

Other planned activities will see Adv. Madonsela and her deputy Adv. Kevin Malunga embark on a series of events that includes panel discussions, outreach events, visits to institutions of learning and unannounced visits to public service points.

The National Good Governance week runs from 19-23 October.
