Public Protector Adv. Thuli Madonsela will on Thursday, 11 September 2014 meet with the Western Cape Provincial Executive in Cape Town.
The meeting will be part of the ongoing Public Protector Stakeholder Dialogue 2014, which was launched in Johannesburg last month.
The aim of the dialogue is for the Public Protector to engage with government, state entities and general public on how to jointly ensure that maladministration and corruption are eliminated while accelerating service delivery.
During the dialogue, which ends in December, the Public Protector will hold a series of meetings with Parliament through Portfolio Committees; Ministers, Provincial Executive Councils, Legislatures; Accounting Officers; Legal Advisors; Mayors; Municipal Managers; Public Servants and the media.
The dialogue is held under the theme “Joining Hands in a partnership against maladministration and corruption.”
The intended outcome of the dialogue is to foster a common understanding of the Public Protector’s role in the state and improved cooperation and working relations between her office and state actors.
