Public hearings with the interested parties

The Ministerial Enquiry on Nomzamo (Lwandle) evictions will holds its last public hearings in Cape Town. This has been necessitated by the interest shown by community organisations in assisting the Enquiry in the formulation of its recommendations.

Upon receiving written submissions from the parties, the Enquiry has decided to invite them for oral hearings at a date and venue stated here below.

The relevant parties to be heard include: an individual member of the public, the African National Congress: Western Cape and the Ratepayers Association (pending final confirmation).

In the interest of transparency and meaningful public participation the Enquiry will conduct its hearings in public and anyone interested can attend. However, this will apply on the basis of first come first serve due to space limitations.

The details are as follows:

Date: Friday 26, September 2014
Time: 10h00
Venue: Good Hope Sub-Council Building, 44 Wale Street, Cape Town.
