The Minister of Public Enterprises, Malusi Gigaba will address Gauteng’s 3 000 top achieving learners from disadvantaged communities in Illovo.
The learners will be hosted by the Gordon Institute of Business Science to assist them in creating a prosperous career path. The State Owned Companies, reporting to the Department of Public Enterprises, will also exhibit career-related information.
The learners will be treated to viewing simulators of equipment from companies like Denel, SAA, Transnet and Eskom. One-on-one career guidance will be offered by skills experts to persuade learners into taking up scarce skills and artisan programmes with the State Owned Companies.
