The Department of Water Affairs will be hosting a consultation workshop about the National Water Policy (NWP) in Limpopo province.
The Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs Mme Edna Molewa obtained Cabinet approval for consultation on the NWP update. The approval prepared the way also for Limpopo citizens to have an opportunity to register their inputs.
The objectives of this workshop are:
- To mobilise sector participation and engagement in the process of finalising the National Water Policy Review (NWPR) Positions
- To obtain inputs and identify gaps in the proposed key Policy Positions.
- To solicit buy-in and ownership of the policy review process by water sector stakeholders
The National Water Policy Review is scheduled as follows:
