President Zuma to meet with National Education Collaboration Trust

President Jacob Zuma will on Friday, 22 August 2014, meet with Chief Executive Officers of major companies who are part of the National Education Collaboration Trust initiative, to promote cooperation in education in the country.

The National Education Collaboration Trust is a partnership initiative aimed at strengthening cooperation between stakeholders in the education sector including government, business, labour and civil society with the goal to improve education outcomes in South Africa. It was established through the Education Collaboration Framework in response to the call for collaboration in the education sector in the National Development Plan and was formally launched on 16 July 2013.

It is chaired by First Rand CEO Mr Sizwe Nxasana.

Media are invited for a photo opportunity at the beginning of the meetings and a media opportunity after the meeting.
