President Jacob Zuma and the Commander-in-Chief will on Saturday, 21 February 2015, preside at the annual Armed Forces Day celebrations.
In 2012, President Zuma proclaimed that 21 February must be observed and commemorated as Armed Forces Day. During the occasion, the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) demonstrates its capabilities in terms of fire power and equipment, career opportunities available in the SANDF as well as other military activities to the members of the public.
The ceremony will be held under the theme "A professional and capable defence force for the people of South Africa” and will take place in Potchefstroom, in the North West Province.
