Tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday 9 April, Premier Helen Zille will attend the official opening of the Paarl-East Thusong Service Centre in Mbekweni, which will include a plaque unveiling.
Thusong Service Centres are one-stop centres for integrated service delivery that bring government information and services closer to where people live, particularly in areas that do not have government offices where people would otherwise have to travel long distances to access government services.
Bringing together a range of government departments from provincial and national spheres of government, Thusong Centres make more easily available the opportunities provided by government services to enable citizens to improve their lives, primarily in rural and under-serviced areas.
