Sod turning for new school in Lichtenburg, North West
Premier of Bokone Bophirima Province Supra Mahumapelo will tomorrow Wednesday, 29 October 2014, turn the first sod for the construction of a new high school - Yussof Dadoo in Lichtenburg, Ditsobotla Local Municipality. In recognition of this milestone, a public sod turning ceremony will be taking place as part of the Setsokotsane Programme which is being led by Premier Mahumapelo.
Other activities of the day will include inspection of the newly built Reatlegile Special School in Itsoseng Township, which is due for completion and handover before the end of this year.
In an effort to ensure limitless access to clean water by all communities, Premier Mahumapelo, who will be accompanied by Members of the Executive Council, will also inspect the Itsoseng Township water reservoir, before heading to Coligny’s Tlhabologo informal settlement where communities will be engaged on land and housing infrastructure issues.
Setsokotsane is a special purpose programme which is aimed at expediting the delivery of services to communities, and creating a responsive, caring and accountable government.
