The North West Premier, Supra Obakeng Ramoeletsi Mahumapelo, will on Friday, 6 March 2015, deliver the second State of the Province Address (SoPA) for the fifth administration. The address will be made at the official opening of the North West Provincial Legislature which will be held at Mogwase stadium, Bojanala Platinum District Municipality.
Premier Mahumapelo, who will be hosted by the Speaker of the Provincial Legislature Hon. Susanne Dantjie, is expected to announce the Provincial Government’s approach to improve delivery of basic services to the people of Bokone Bophirima. This in a concerted effort to fight the triple challenges of poverty, unemployment and inequalities.
With a precise focus on the strategy of Rebrand, Reposition and Renewal, Premier Mahumapelo is set to, amongst others, make pronouncements on the Provincial Government’s planned move to strengthen agriculture, culture and tourism as strategic pillars for economic growth.
To ensure that the Provincial Government’s human resource is used optimally, Premier Mahumapelo will pronounce measures to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of the public service.

A pre-SoPA media briefing which will focus on the Legislature procedures will be held on Thursday, 5 March 2015 at the Moses Kotane Local Municipalities chambers, starting at 17h00, where accreditation for the media is going to be done.
A post-SoPA press conference, to be addressed by Premier Mahumapelo and the Speaker of the Provincial Legislature, will be held immediately after the State of the Province Address at the Mogwase stadium.
