Premier Mathabatha to lead Executive Council to Mamatonya Village – Lepelle-Nkumpi
The Premier of Limpopo Province, Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will lead his Members of Executive Council (MECs) to an Imbizo Outreach Programme to Mamatonya Village under the Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality, Capricorn District on the 30 November 2018. The Premier and all MECs, joined by Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Cllr John Mpe and Mayor of Lepelle-Nkumpi Cllr Nakedi Sibanda will afford the communities of Mamatonya and its surroundings an opportunity to raise service delivery challenges they encounter on a daily basis.
This visit is part of government’s effort to enhance and deepen the Imbizo programme, ensure that communities have a say on the affairs of governance. The programme aims to reach as many communities as possible that may be facing challenges with service delivery. The Imbizo is designed to strengthen communication between the government and its people.
Mamatonya falls under ward 20 of Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality. The ward consists of the following villages: Mamatonya, Marulaneng, Marotse, Lenting and Makgopong. The Provincial Government led by Premier Mathabatha, MECs, District and Local Mayor and will listen to challenges that the villages experience in terms of service delivery and respond to them on how government is going to assist them.
