Premier Sisi Ntombela launches Kevali Chemical Factory in Harrismith, 6 Jun

The Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Bulelani Magwanishe, the Premier of the Free State, Honorable Sisi Ntombela, MEC for DESTEA, Honorable Maki Mahasa will launch Kevali Chemical Factory in Tshiame, Harrismith on Wednesday, 06 June 2018.  

Kevali chemicals is one of the first free state black owned chemicals manufacturer funded through Black Industrialist (BIS) by Department of Trade and Industry as well as the Industrial Development Corporation.

This launch marks the first phase of the project with the second phase being the construction commencement of a new 10 000m2 facility in the second quarter of the current financial year. Once it is up and running, the factor will produce starch chemicals such as glues and will have lab testing facilities in house,

Both the first and second phase will employ up to 74 people over the next 5 years and will have an estimated investment value of R240m over the same period with Free State employment as a priority.
