The Mpumalanga Provincial Government will officially handover the State-of-the-art School in Acornhoek, Cottandale namely, Jameyana Primary School this week. Premier Refilwe Mtshweni -Tsipane, accompanied by MEC Bonakele Majuba of Education, MEC Mandla Ndlovu of Public Works, Roads and Transport and the Executive Mayor of Bushbuckridge Local Municipality, Cllr Sylvia Nxumalo, will handover the keys of the new facility to the local community.
From old to new, from modesty to greatness and loyalty to royalty, Jameyana Primary School is a product of a process of merging Mpisi Junior Primary and Jameyana Higher Primary. It boasts a learner enrolment of 793 and consists of 24 new classrooms, grade R Centre, library, kitchen and 25 toilets and a new computer laboratory.
Premier Mtshweni-Tsipane says the completion of the school affirms the 6th administration as a caring government, and represents the aspiration of parents to take their children to a learning institution with the best resources.
