The Gauteng Provincial Government, led by Premier Panyaza Lesufi, will on Thursday, 07 December 2023, officially hand over the Hendrik Potgieter bridge to the community of Roodepoort, following its reconstruction.
The bridge was closed in December 2022 following its collapse due to heavy rains that damaged the stormwater channel.
The event will showcase the government's unwavering dedication to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects, underscoring government’s commitment to the well-being of Gauteng's communities.
This initiative is transforming the spatial landscape and accessibility, ushering in a new era of increased economic opportunities and safety for the people of Gauteng.
