Subsequent to the release of the report on the Commission into Traditional Claims and Disputes of the Bakgatla Ba Kgafela in Moruleng near Rustenburg, the North West Premier, Prof. Tebogo Job Mokgoro will this Friday, 06 March, introduce the appointed Administrator to the Bakgatla Ba Kgafela Traditional Council.
One of the key recommendations of the report which was released and handed over to the Bakgatla Ba Kgafela in August last year, was for the Premier to exercise his powers in terms of Sections 9(3) and 10(2) of the North West Traditional Leadership and Governance Act of 2005, to appoint a person to take control of the affairs of the Bakgatla Ba Kgafela Traditional Council.
Premier Mokgoro will introduce the appointed Administrator to the Bakgatla Ba Kgafela Royal Family, before addressing a community gathering arranged as follows:
