Premier of the North West Province, Prof Tebogo Job Mokgoro will tomorrow, 20 Wednesday February, conduct a site inspection at the newly-built Bophelong Psychiatric Hospital in Mahikeng, this as part of his ongoing programme to assess physical infrastructure improvements and backlogs across the province.
In his recently delivered State of the Province Address (SOPA), Premier Mokgoro highlighted that his Administration ought to accelerate the necessary infrastructure improvements to the provincial government’s health facilities, with hospitals including Mahikeng Provincial, Witrand, Gelukspan, Job Shimankana Tabane and Delareyville Community Health Centre high on the list.
The newly-built Bophelong Psychiatric Hospital was officially opened in 2016, and is one of the four designated mental health hospitals in the province.
