Tomorrow, Tuesday 5 August 2014, Premier Helen Zille will attend and officially open the Jinko Solar Power Factory.
Jinko Solar is the fourth biggest Solar PV manufacturer in the world and has produced almost 5.5 Giga Watts of products worldwide with over 13 000 employees. To date, the company has delivered over 300 Mega Watts (MW) to South Africa.
The latest addition to Jinko Solar tomorrow is the newest and most modern Solar PV manufacturing facility in Africa with a capacity of producing 120MW per annum.
The factory is a welcome investment in the province as it will create jobs and grow the economy. It also will contribute to our objective of becoming the green economic hub of Africa.
There will be an opportunity for interviews and photographs.
