Western Cape Government heads up search for province’s most talented entrepreneurs

On Wednesday, Premier Helen Zille and Economic Opportunities Minister, Alan Winde, will officially open the call for entries for the 2015 Provincial Entrepreneurship Recognition Awards.

Launched in 2013, the Premier’s Entrepreneurship Recognition Awards (PERA) seeks to celebrate the achievements of the Western Cape’s top entrepreneurs.

The overall winner nets an overseas trip to the world’s most prestigious entrepreneurship conference and prize money. Past winners have earned global recognition for their products.

Premier Zille and Minister Winde will highlight the impact of the competition and outline some of its most recent success stories.

The launch event takes place at the offices of the Khayelitsha Cookie Company, which last year won the PERA award in the Best Social Enterprise category.
