Premier David Makhura visit City of Johannesburg vaccination sites, 17 Aug

As part of governments efforts to ramp up the vaccination drive in Gauteng, Premier David Makhura, accompanied by Health MEC, Dr Nomamthemba Mokgethi and Joburg Mayor, Cllr Jolidee Matongo, will tomorrow, Tuesday, 17 August 2021, visit vaccination sites in the City of Johannesburg.

Government is on a drive to expand the vaccination drive across the province to ensure that no eligble persons are left out, and encourage those who have not yet presented themselves for vaccination to go out in their numbers.

Government and civil society partners continue to implement innovative solutions such as the drive-through and mobile (pop-up) vaccination sites to ramp up the vaccination programme in the province. Gauteng sites accept walk-ins whether people are registered on the EVDS or not.
