Premier Chupu Mathabatha meets PEGAC members and opens Pipe Factory Plant, 31 Oct

The Premier of Limpopo, Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will meet with members of the Premier’s Employment Growth Advisory Council (PEGAC) on the 31 October 2017 Mogalakwena Municipality, Waterberg District.

PEGAC meetings are held twice in the financial year in line with the planning cycle of government. The meeting serves as a platform for PEGAC members to report to the Premier on progress made in the implementation of recommendations taken during various Technical Working Groups meetings (TWGs). The council is made up of the following TWGs: Integrated Infrastructure Development, Enterprise and Industrial Development, Social Cohesion, Green Economy, ICT, Innovation and Knowledge Enabled Economy and Finance Development and Trade and Investment.

The meeting also serves to advise the Premier and EXCO on how to implement the Limpopo Development Plan (LDP) especially on key economic pillars of Agriculture, Mining, Tourism and Manufacturing.

The meeting coincides with the official opening of the Pipe Factory Plant in Mokopane where Premier Mathabatha and the CEO of Anglo-American Platinum will preside. The Pipe Factory Plant is a joint venture between the private sector and government, aimed at optimizing localisation and supporting the anticipated infrastructure development in Limpopo related to bulk water supply.
