Limpopo Premier to outline government plans for the 6th Administration
Limpopo Premier Chupu Mathabatha will officially open the Limpopo Legislature and deliver the State of the Province Address (SOPA) by outlining a Programme of Action for the 6th administration, this Friday at the Legislature Chambers in Lebowakgomo.
The move from Jack Botes back to Lebowakgomo was informed by cost containment measures announced by the Premier during the swearing-in ceremony. “We have to contain our scarce resources, and therefore have to move back to Lebowakgomo, despite the distance from the centre,” Mathabatha said.
The Premier’s address will concentrate on what the majority of the people of Limpopo raised during the campaign leading to the 8th May 2019 elections. “Limpopo people voted in their majority and said, we want water, roads and jobs”. This will set the tone for the Provincial Government service delivery for the electoral cycle and also outline the key strategic objectives for this financial year.
The session is scheduled as follows:
Date: Friday, 05 July 2019
