Premier Bushy Maape leads vaccination drive in Taung Local Municipality, 13 and 14 Nov

North West Premier Bushy Maape to lead the vooma vaccination weekend drive in the greater Taung Local Municipality

North West Premier, Kaobitsa Bushy Maape, will lead the Vooma Vaccination Weekend Drive in the Greater Taung Local Municipality on 13 and 14 November 2021.

Premier Maape will be joined by Deputy Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment Minister Makhotso Sotyu, the Executive Committee of the North West  House of Traditional Leaders led by Kgosi Mushi Mabe, and members of the provincial Executive Council. Ms Sotyu is the District Champion of the Ruth Mompati District of North West.

The aim of the drive is to encourage people to get vaccinated and help government curb the spread of covid-19. Government plans to achieve population immunity by the end of December 2021.

The Premier and the Deputy Minister will on Saturday, 13 November 2021, engage with the Traditional Council of the Batlhaping Baga Phuduhucwana Tribal Office. This will be followed by interactions with residents at the Taung Mall and Taxi Rank. Later in the day the Premier and Deputy Minister will address the Vooma Vaccination Weekend Drive event at Mmabana Taung.

As part of the Vooma vaccination Weekend Drive, Premier Maape will also attend a church service on Sunday, 14 November 2021 to encourage congregants to take their jabs.
