The Free State Provincial Government, led by Premier Ace Magashule, will be embarking on an Operation Hlasela Outreach Campaign tomorrow, 19 May 2014, in Winburg.
This Outreach Programme will essentially be a platform for engagements between Members of the Executive Council and the community of Winburg. Operation Hlasela, as the overarching programme of action of the Free State Provincial Government, is aimed at aligning the activities, resources and programmes of the three spheres of Government in a coordinated manner that avoids duplication and waste of resources in response to the attainment of the objectives of government as articulated in the five key priorities.
The Operation Hlasela Outreach Programme in Winburg will provide Political Principals with the opportunity to engage directly with the public; and also for citizens to engage face-to-face with Political Principals, to celebrate successes and to address challenges on implementation of Government programmes.
After the service delivery monitoring visits throughout the community - where sites, blankets and food parcels will be handed out to the needy and elderly – the Executive Council will address the community at a mass meeting where their plight will be heard and duly addressed. The Executive Council will furthermore provide school shoes and vegetable hampers as part of the commitment by the Free State Provincial Government to know where people live and how they live.
