The MEC for Police, Roads and Transport honourable Butana Komphela together with church leaders will pray for community safety and safety on our provincial roads on Sunday, 17 March 2013 at African Coptic Orthodox church in Vuka location, Parys. Church service will start at 10h00 am.
Crime is a complex challenge and for us to defeat it we need involvement of all social partners including churches. Churches have always been part of the struggles to build our country and to better society. It is with this in mind that MEC Butana Komphela will be joining hands together with church leaders to pray for safer communities which are free from crime, drugs and alcohol abuse.
The MEC will also pray for safety on our roads as over the coming few days, traffic volumes on our major roads will peak with thousands of vehicles heading to various destinations for Easter holidays.
