The North West Provincial Legislature Portfolio Committee on Education, Sports, Arts and Culture will be conducting public hearings throughout the province on Further Education and Training Colleges Amendment Bill (B24B-2012) on Monday, 5 November 2012 at 10h00.
The Bill aims to amend the Further Education and Training Colleges Act,2006, so as to amend the provisions relating to the establishment of a public college, to establish the South African Institute for Vocational and Continuing Education and Training, to provide for the composition, functions and functioning of the Institute, to provide for transitional arrangements, the repeal of the Adult Education and Training Act,2000, and the amendment of certain other laws, to provide for matters connected therewith.
